LG Hosts Massive Parisian Picnic to Launch New Refrigerator Line

SEOUL, May 27 (Korea Bizwire) – LG Electronics orchestrated a large-scale picnic on the Champs-Élysées in Paris on May 26 to celebrate the local launch of its MoodUP InstaView refrigerator.

Coinciding with the city’s monthly car-free day that closes the iconic avenue to traffic, LG took the opportunity to organize its own promotional festivities.

The company laid out a massive 216-meter by 21-meter recycled-fiber checkered picnic blanket stretching from the Arc de Triomphe towards the Place de la Concorde, inviting 4,000 Parisians to attend.

Launched in France following Spain, Germany, and Italy, the MoodUP InstaView refrigerator’s LED door panel can display up to 190,000 color combinations controlled through LG’s ThinQ app.

Additionally, the refrigerator’s AI-powered cooling system analyzes usage patterns and preemptively activates an intensive cooling mode during peak usage hours to minimize internal temperature fluctuations.

“The LG MoodUP refrigerator is an innovative product that breaks conventions around design and color,” said Lee Chun-guk, head of LG’s European operations. “We will continue to hold diverse events like this Champs-Élysées picnic across Europe and global markets.”

Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo also attended the event, stating, “With the Olympics and Paralympics just two months away, this event can send a powerful message.” She added, “The city of Paris loves celebratory moments like this and is passionately preparing events, backed by the dedication of those who love Paris.”
