SEOUL, Feb. 10 (Korea Bizwire) —  LG Electronics is presenting its latest customized heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions at the AHR Expo 2025, North America’s largest HVAC industry exhibition, taking place in Orlando, Florida, through February 12.

This marks LG’s first major exhibition since establishing the ES Business Unit late last year as part of its goal to become a global top-tier HVAC provider. The company has expanded its exhibition space by 73 square meters, now totaling 646 square meters (approximately 195 pyeong), and designed the booth to offer an intuitive view of the internal structure and key components of its core technologies.

A highlight of the exhibition is the oil-free inverter turbo chiller, which eliminates the need for lubrication by using magnetic bearing technology. This allows the compressor motor’s rotor shaft to levitate electromagnetically, reducing friction losses and enhancing energy efficiency.

LG is also introducing its inverter heat pump lineup, designed to accommodate diverse climate conditions across the U.S. The products have received ENERGY STAR® certification from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for their high efficiency.

Another standout product, the residential cold-climate heat pump, won the 2025 AHR Innovation Award in the Sustainable Solutions category. This unit maintains stable heating performance even at -35°C and optimizes the refrigerant cycle to prevent outdoor unit condensation from freezing, maximizing heating efficiency.

In response to new regulations in states like California, which will ban refrigerants with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) above 750 starting this year, LG is showcasing its inverter scroll chiller and Multi V i system, both of which use R32 refrigerant—offering approximately 30% lower GWP than conventional R410A refrigerants.

Additionally, LG has set up a dedicated component solutions booth to highlight key parts like compressors and motors. The company is unveiling for the first time its 27 USRT large-capacity scroll compressor, which features an improved compression structure and enhanced reliability.

“We are accelerating our B2B business by introducing diverse HVAC solutions tailored to various spaces and climates, including AI-driven thermal management solutions for data centers,” said Jae-Sung Lee, head of LG’s ES Business Unit and Vice President. “Through these innovations, we aim to expand our influence in the global HVAC market.”
