SEOUL, Aug. 16 (Korea Bizwire) – LG Electronics is taking its OLED TV technology beyond the living room and into the realm of high art in a bid to capture the growing Southeast Asian market.

In a recent exhibition at the Lotte Mall West Lake Hanoi, which attracts about 1 million visitors monthly and is one of Vietnam’s largest shopping centers, LG unveiled a series of artistic installations featuring its latest OLED TV models.

The event, themed “The Future Becomes Reality,” aimed to highlight the artistic potential of LG’s advanced display technology.

The showcase included LG’s 2024 wireless OLED TV, the OLED evo, and the lifestyle-oriented OLED TV Pose. These cutting-edge screens served as canvases for digital artworks created by Fustic.Studio, a renowned Vietnamese art collective.

LG’s exhibition emphasized the TVs’ AI capabilities, powered by the new Alpha 11 processor, and the freedom offered by wireless technology. These features were central to the artistic narrative, embodying themes of intelligence and liberation.

This art-focused marketing strategy isn’t limited to Vietnam. In June, LG collaborated with the National Museum of the Philippines to present OLED TV-based artworks, further extending its reach in the region.

The company’s push into Southeast Asia comes as market research firm Omdia reports that the Asia-Pacific region, excluding China and Japan, is emerging as a key market for OLED TVs, following Europe and North America.

Projections indicate that OLED TV shipments in this region are expected to reach approximately 713,000 units in 2024, marking a 12.4% increase from the previous year.
