SEOUL, Aug. 28 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics said Thursday it will debut new robot vacuum cleaners at IFA 2025 in Berlin next month, highlighting designs aimed at blending more seamlessly into home interiors while enhancing cleaning performance through artificial intelligence.
The lineup includes two models: the built-in Hidden Station and the freestanding Objet Station. The Hidden Station, designed for compact living spaces, connects directly to plumbing for automatic water supply and drainage. Its slimmed-down profile — reduced from about 50 centimeters to 15 centimeters — allows installation under kitchen sinks, with the vacuum docking discreetly inside when not in use.
The Objet Station features a furniture-like design intended to harmonize with bedrooms or living rooms. Like the built-in version, it conceals the vacuum when idle and handles dust collection, mopping, and even washing and drying used mop pads.
Both models are the first in the world to incorporate steam technology in both the robot and its docking station, improving cleaning power and hygiene, LG said.
The vacuums also feature LG’s proprietary AI-based object recognition technology, combining an onboard AI chip with lidar, 3D cameras, ultrasonic sensors, and bumpers to map and navigate around obstacles. Voice recognition allows users to issue commands such as “start cleaning” or “stop” without an internet connection.
Alongside the robot vacuums, LG will introduce new cordless stick vacuums at IFA, including a high-powered model for suction-only cleaning and another capable of both suction and mopping.
“With designs shaped by customer feedback and upgraded performance, we aim to deliver a differentiated cleaning experience to global markets,” said Kwak Do-young, executive vice president of LG’s Living Solutions business unit.
