SEOUL, April 14 (Korea Bizwire) — Roberto Ramos, a foreign player for South Korean baseball club LG Twins, held his wedding at the Mexican Embassy in South Korea, attracting media attention.
Mexican Ambassador to South Korea Bruno Figueroa Fischer presided over the wedding.
Ramos and his bride, Elsa Moreno Sanchez, were seen smiling as they held up their marriage certificate.
“It is our first time to hold a wedding ceremony at the embassy,” the ambassador said.
“Ramos’s parents were visiting South Korea recently, and the ceremony was prepared on a smaller scale,” said an official at LG Twins.
The infielder had a strong season for Twins last year, batting .278 with 38 home runs.
