SEOUL, June 2 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics announced the launch of its latest Whisen AI System Air Conditioner, equipped with advanced radar sensors and upgraded artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities designed to enhance comfort, energy efficiency, and user experience in both residential and commercial settings.

The new model features an “AI Wind” function that autonomously analyzes room conditions and learns user preferences to automatically adjust to the desired temperature.

Using radar-based motion detection, the system can also determine whether a user is asleep and dynamically tailor airflow with the “AI Comfort Sleep Wind” mode, optimizing for different sleep stages.

A key selling point is its AI energy-saving mode, which monitors user habits to reduce power consumption by up to 30% compared to standard operation.

Meanwhile, its AI purification system ensures air cleanliness through up to eight stages of internal component maintenance, including heat exchanger cleaning, UV nano fan sterilization, and intelligent drying cycles.

The product is designed for seamless integration into homes using LG’s proprietary Slim Built-in Kit, which allows for ceiling installation without additional molding or ceiling modifications.

Driven by growing consumer demand for residential system air conditioners, LG said its domestic sales in this category have grown at an average annual rate exceeding 10% over the past four years.

“This Whisen AI system air conditioner represents a major step forward in using AI to improve comfort and convenience,” said Bae Jung-hyun, head of LG’s System Air Conditioning Business Unit. “It’s a product that enhances quality of life through smart innovation.”
