SEOUL, June 17 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics announced Tuesday that it will launch a new AI-powered digital whiteboard in July, aiming to redefine smart education through advanced artificial intelligence features designed to benefit both teachers and students.

The new model includes cutting-edge tools such as AI Summary, which condenses video-based teaching content; AI Real-Time Translation, which displays live subtitles in multiple languages; and Calculator Pro, which instantly solves handwritten mathematical equations using handwriting recognition.

Built on a large language model (LLM) foundation, the digital whiteboard also offers AI Chatbot functionality to answer user questions, AI Mind Map to visually structure concepts from text and images, and Circle to Search, which allows users to draw a circle around text or images to instantly retrieve relevant information.

LG is also introducing enhanced classroom features. LG CreateBoard Share enables wireless screen-sharing across up to nine devices, regardless of operating system—including Windows, Android, and iOS. The device has earned Google EDLA (Enterprise Device Licensing Agreement) certification for Android compatibility, ensuring broad usability in education environments.

With LG ConnectedCare, the company offers real-time remote monitoring and device management for multiple displays, allowing schools and institutions to detect and respond to potential security risks and performance issues quickly.

In a bid to cater to diverse classroom needs, LG will launch multiple models, including a cost-competitive version focused on essential features like touchscreen writing, and a 105-inch ultra-wide (21:9) model optimized for remote learning and video conferencing.

The full product lineup will debut at ISTE 2025, the world’s largest educational technology expo, to be held in San Antonio, Texas from June 29 through July 2.

“We’re leveraging LG’s AI innovation to help shape more efficient and immersive learning environments,” said Baek Ki-moon, Executive Vice President of LG’s Information Display Business Unit. “This product reflects our ambition to lead the global edtech market with smart and scalable classroom solutions.”

The launch aligns with President Lee Jae-myung’s administration’s focus on AI integration across industries, as South Korea accelerates efforts to modernize education technology. Meanwhile, global attention on U.S. educational infrastructure, heightened during President Trump’s second term, offers LG a strategic opportunity for North American market expansion.
