SEOUL, Aug. 27 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics showcased its latest artificial intelligence–driven HVAC solutions at the Climate Industry International Expo opening Wednesday in Busan, underscoring the company’s push to position itself as a leader in energy-efficient building technologies.
The three-day event, co-hosted by South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the International Energy Agency and the World Bank, brings together governments and companies to explore advanced technologies and policy strategies for tackling the climate crisis and achieving carbon neutrality.
At its 270-square-meter booth, LG presented a range of residential, public and commercial HVAC systems tailored for different settings. At the entrance, the company displayed its flagship Multi V i and Multi V S air conditioners, which use an AI engine to automatically adjust cooling intensity by sensing indoor and outdoor temperatures. The system shifts to power-saving mode once a room reaches optimal comfort, boosting efficiency.
Other highlights included the Whisen AI system air conditioner, which learns user preferences to adjust temperatures automatically; a four-way ceiling unit designed with reduced plastic use for public facilities; and a gas-powered air conditioner equipped with emission-reduction technology to curb air pollutants.
LG also spotlighted its top-rated commercial stand model, the only system in its category to achieve Korea’s highest energy efficiency grade. Compared with older models, it improves cooling performance by 23 percent and heating by 37 percent — an innovation that recently earned it the Energy Saving Award at the 28th Energy Winner Awards.
The company further promoted its integrated building management solutions. The BMS platform coordinates multiple facilities in real time, while the BECON AI system analyzes temperature and energy consumption to automatically optimize performance.
“By leveraging LG’s AI capabilities and core component technologies, we aim to expand high-efficiency HVAC solutions worldwide and contribute meaningfully to global carbon neutrality,” said Jae-sung Lee, executive vice president and head of LG’s Energy Solutions business unit.
