SEOUL, May 17 (Korea Bizwire) — LG Electronics Inc. announced that it will add a pet care cycle to its washers and dryers for customers with pets of their own.
The upgrade will be applied to TROMM washer, dryer, mini washer and wash tower in the tech giant’s UP appliances, which can have new functions added through software or hardware updates.
Following the recent addition of the pet care cycle for TROMM washers and mini washers, LG plans to add the new function to dryers and wash towers by the end of this month.
Without the need to purchase a new appliance, customers can add the pet care cycle simply through a software upgrade using the LG ThinQ app.
The company noted that it decided to add the pet care cycle even to its mini washers, reflecting demand from customers to wash their own garments and those of their pets separately.
It said that the new pet care cycle can effectively eliminate clothing stains created by pet urine, fecal matter, mud and grass.
