SEOUL, Sep. 18 (Korea Bizwire) – Wireless network is getting smarter. As the data load increases, the network assigns more data so that users can enjoy better, faster services without video interruption. It seems the era of “video LTE” is at hand.

LG Uplus said on September 17 that it has successfully developed an intelligent network platform jointly with Nokia. Earlier in May this year, the two companies signed a comprehensive deal to work together in mobile service areas.

The core feature of the intelligent network platform is providing video contents to users more efficiently and faster by storing videos on the server in LTE base stations. That’s how users can receive video streaming data quickly from the nearest base station so that they won’t have to worry about video interruptions while viewing popular sporting games.

LG Uplus and Nokia will complete their field test by the end of October and install servers in LTE base stations throughout the countries. In addition, they will keep developing new apps that can cater to the needs of the service subscribers in the area of the intelligent network platform.
