SEOUL, June 13 (Korea Bizwire)LG Uplus Corp., South Korea’s No. 3 mobile carrier, said Monday it will showcase MIRI View, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based passenger safety protection system, in collaboration with major lift manufacturer Hyundai Elevator Co.

MIRI View utilizes AI-based CCTV to analyze passengers’ movements and voices, functioning as an intelligent safety system.

In the event of an emergency, the system promptly notifies both the customer center and elevator safety manager of the potential danger.

LG Uplus has developed a monitor-based application and a customer center viewer, in addition to supplying the necessary AI CCTV equipment and access to its long-term evolution (LTE) network.

The two parties have plans to expand the service’s coverage to elevators equipped with Hyundai Elevator’s advanced maintenance and management service MIRI, which was released earlier this month.
