LG Uplus to Exempt MERS-Affected Customers from Paying Phone Charges for June

SEOUL, Jun. 16 (Korea Bizwire) – LG Uplus is set to exempt its customers in isolation for or under treatment for the MERS virus from paying their phone charges for the month of June.

The company will also provide customers with unlimited data usage for the month, according to an announcement on June 15.

The company has taken such measures to relieve some of the economic burden for those affected by the virus, and enable them to receive all the information they need to get through the difficult situation.

Customers can request the exemption by phone at 1544-0010.

LGU plus is also set to unfold various measures to help stop the virus. The company has prepared 1 million masks and plans to provide masks to visitors at all of its directly managed stores.

The company’s internet installation engineers will also sterilize furniture and consumer electronics at homes during their visits, with a strong sterilizer recognized by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
