TAEAN, Mar. 5 (Korea Bizwire) — Taean County in South Chungcheong Province announced on Monday that its ‘Little Theater’ had surpassed 100,000 viewers in 17 months since its opening.
The movie theater, which opened in September 2017, has now welcomed a total of 101,111 viewers.
Covering an area of 323.52㎡, there are two screening rooms, the first room with 64 seats and the other with 35 seats, and other facilities such as a canteen. The theater also can screen 3D movies.
Since it is located near the cultural center, people can also experience various cultural activities.
Tickets sell for 6,000 won (US$5.32) for the general public, 5,000 won for teenagers and groups and 4,000 won for senior citizens and the disabled. Since it is cheap, the public is showing great satisfaction.
According to an official, around 400 people visit the theater every day on the weekend. There were 2,389 people visiting the theater during the New Year holidays last year, occupying 80 to 90 percent of the seats.
While booking tickets online is possible, the county and the Taean Cultural Center plan to investigate any reported inconveniences and make improvements so that residents can fully enjoy cultural life.
