SEOUL, Korea, Mar. 4 (Korea Bizwire)Daum Communications, one of South Korea’s largest portal       site, is introducing its private Social Network Service(SNS)_SolGroup_on March 4th.

SolGroup is the third service of the Sol Studio at Daum which is a global mobile application publisher. Likewise SolMail and SolCalendar that had been selected by a US IT media ‘The Next Web (www.thenextweb.com)’ as ’30 of the most beautiful and well-designed Android apps’, it has emotion in the design. Its simple but sophisticated design also stands out. The screen enhanced the readability of the postings, and menus such as ‘write’, ‘poll’ and ‘schedule’ that are in diagram form give an impression.

The main targets of SolGroup are those in their 20s and 30s who are familiar with and active in mobile environments. It is also adequate for people who want to have private group communication, to share many things with their friends, family and to have an efficient service for work or assignment.

Functions such as ‘Notice’, ‘Settle money’, ‘Event’ and ‘Poll’ are other strong points of SolGroup. When someone posts a notice on SolGroup, the number of members who have read the post and those who haven’t are shown. This makes it easy to manage members who could not attend gatherings for missing notices. And the ‘Settle money’ menu can be used for dividing expenses incurred during those gatherings. The allotment per person is automatically calculated just by putting in the total amount, the number of attendees and account information. And the numbers of people who have paid are shown in real time. The ‘Event’ menu allows users to see at a glance who is coming or who is not coming to an event or gathering.

Photos, videos/voice notes, links, places updated on timeline are stored automatically in the group’s archive by category. The function is very convenient since these contents that are most frequently shared on mobile environments can be efficiently managed and checked without having to categorize them. In particular, SolGroup is the only SNS that can automatically collect and list up links in each post. And this collection can be developed into lists of good restaurants around the country and news information, etc.

Using the ‘Add Location’ function, users can post photos or videos together with the map showing the location. This can also be used for easily show the meeting place when setting schedules. And since all of them are stored in the location archive, users can see all memorable places at a single glance.

SolGroup is the first app that enables iPhone users to experience the excellent design of the ‘Sol’ brand. Since SolGroup aims to make gathering with friends more convenient, unlike SolMail and SolCalendar, it is launched for the first time with iOS application as well.

Sol Studio at Daum will keep updating SolGroup by actively gathering opinions from the users. SolGroup is currently service in Korean and English but Chinese, Japanese and Spanish will be added from mid-March. And the web-version of SolGroup will also be launched within this year.

SolGroup is currently available at Google Play and App Store. Further information on SolGroup can be found in its official Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/group.solstudio).
