SEOUL, Oct. 1 (Korea Bizwire)According to a report on public health published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Korea, men in their 30s are most prone to be obese while women in their 60s are most likely to have obesity problems.

Even though 47.1 percent of South Korean men are obese, the ratio decreases as they get older. The obesity rate among men in their 40s accounts for 41.5 percent, followed by 40.8 percent in the 50s, 29.3 percent in the 60s and 26.2 percent in the 70s.

In contrast, the rate of obesity among women is inclined to increase as they age. Despite the fact that only 14.4 percent of women in their 20s are likely to be obese, they are getting fatter as time goes by. The obesity rate among women hits the record in the 60s, amounting to 42.7 percent, followed by 33.7 percent in the 50s, 25.7 percent in the 40s and 17.9 percent in the 30s.
