SEOUL, June 30 (Korea Bizwire) — A “meta fashion” platform, where visitors can utilize augmented reality (AR) technology to photograph virtual clothing, has been established in Seoul.
Meta fashion encompasses virtual outfits created using digital technology, presented as images or videos, akin to dressing up an avatar.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy on Friday hosted an opening ceremony for the Meta Fashion Playground at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza.
The event was attended by fashion designers and fabric fashion IT experts.
At the Meta Fashion Playground, visitors can not only enjoy wearing virtual clothes through AR but also purchase the physical products in the experience zone.
Furthermore, there is a creative zone where fashion designers and digital creators can freely design a variety of meta-fashion items.
