SEOUL, July 25 (Korea Bizwire) — HD Hyundai Infracore is poised to make an unusual move in the industry as it introduces the 1.7-ton Develon mini excavator (DX17Z-7) on TV home shopping for the very first time. This groundbreaking event, scheduled for July 31, is a rare occurrence not only in Korea but also worldwide.
The decision to sell the excavator through a TV home shopping channel is part of the company’s strategy to make construction machinery more accessible to the general public and raise awareness of the Develon brand among consumers. The package offered during the broadcast includes the excavator body, three types of buckets (large, medium, and small), quick couplers, and essential tools and filters.
HD Hyundai Infracore has recently grabbed headlines with its innovative approach, utilizing augmented reality (AR) technology to diagnose and repair Debelon construction equipment. Its proprietary ‘AR Guidance’ application empowers users to intuitively inspect equipment status and effectively diagnose and resolve faults through the seamless integration of AR technology.
The mini-excavator, which received the prestigious main prize for product design at the 2020 Red Dot Design Awards, is the smallest Develon excavator released this year. Its design allows it to extend or shorten, making it ideal for working in confined spaces. Moreover, its short turning radius enhances its capability to maneuver easily.
Previously, in May, HD Hyundai Infracore also successfully displayed and sold a 3.5-ton mini-excavator at four gas stations directly operated by Hyundai Oil Bank nationwide.
