SEOUL, Dec. 31 (Korea Bizwire) — Female K-pop band Momoland garnered more than 300 million YouTube views with the video for their 2018 hit song “Bboom Bboom.”
The main track of Momoland’s third EP, “Great!,” released in January, surpassed the YouTube milestone as of Sunday, the group’s management agency, MLD Entertainment, said Monday.
“Bboom Bboom” launched Momoland as a globally-recognized K-pop act since the group’s debut in 2016.
YouTube has previously picked the music video of “Bboom Bboom” as the most popular video clip of 2018 and the third most popular music video of this year. A separate YouTube video featuring the choreography of the song garnered more than 100 million views.
Momoland’s release in June “Baam,” which also centers on shuffle dance, like “Bboom Bboom,” also topped the 100 million YouTube view mark.
In January, the girl band is scheduled to go on a world tour, which will kick off in Dubai and take them to the Philippines, Vietnam, the United States and South America.
