SEOUL, Oct. 10 (Korea Bizwire) — A mural has been painted in honor of South Korean defender Kim Min-jae, who plays for Italian football club Napoli, depicting his famous defense.
Italian media reported that the mural was created by Juan Pablo Gimenez, a painter in Napoli.
S.S.C. Napoli beat AC Milan 2-1 on Sept. 19, which was the 7th round of the 2022–23 Serie A. There, the 25-year-old center back was spotlighted for a memorable defense that finalized Napoli’s win.
Prior to the end of the match’s second half, AC Milan midfielder Ismaël Bennacer put up a cross, which Brahim Díaz tried to head in.
Despite what seemed like a perfect chance for a goal, Kim kicked out his left leg to effectively block the shot.
Kim’s fantastic defense has allowed Napoli to go on a winning spree.
