SEOUL, Aug. 2 (Korea Bizwire) — The Korea Museum in Tokyo’s Shinjuku district is opening the ‘Korea-Japan Children’s Drawing Exchange Exhibition.’
Elementary school teachers from South Korea and Japan, who by coincidence met at the Independence Hall of Korea in 2011, joined together to engage in a five-year exchange of letters and drawings between children until 2015.
The exhibition will showcase some 50 letters and drawings from Korean children.
The letters talk about the children’s everyday experiences, Korea’s renowned historical turtle ships, Bulguksa Temple, and stories about Korean culture.
“There have been bad moments in the history of Korea-Japan relations, but many letters talk about restoring friendship,” the museum said.
