“My Love from the Star” Set for American Adaptation


SEOUL, Sep. 21 (Korea Bizwire) – “My Love from the Star” will be remade by ABC.

For its remake, Sony Pictures TV is set to remake “My Love from the Star,” and it was reported that Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain, who wrote “The Vampire Diaries,” is currently co-writing a pilot script.

 “Not long ago, ABC asks for a pilot and we are negotiating the specifics of our contact with Sony Pictures,” said HB Entertainment which produced “My Love from the Star.”

CEO Moon, Bo-mi of HB Entertainment, and Park Ji-eun, writer of the Korean version, are joining the American adaptation as executive producer.

Starring popular Hallyu actors Jun Ji-hyun and Kim Soo-hyun, “My Love from the Star” gained huge domestic and overseas popularity and created a syndrome called “Love from Star,” with the coat of Cheon Song-yi, a main female character, causing a sensation in China.

Currently, Sony Pictures is casting actors, aiming to produce pilot episodes late this year and air them this coming January.
