SEOUL, Dec. 31 (Korea Bizwire) — Naver unveiled a new Naver Maps Usage Guide on Monday, designed to help foreign tourists navigate South Korea.
The guide, available in English, Chinese, and Japanese, provides tips on finding attractions and using public transportation through the app.
In addition to being accessible online, the guide will be distributed as leaflets at key tourist hubs, including Incheon Airport information desks, Airport Railroad service centers, and the Myeongdong Welcome Center.
“We aim to make it easier for international tourists to explore South Korea using only Naver Maps,” said Choi Seung-rak, head of Naver Maps. “We also plan to collaborate with international influencers to raise awareness and promote the service globally.”
Since 2018, Naver Maps has steadily enhanced its multilingual capabilities, supporting English, Chinese, and Japanese users. This year, the platform expanded its multilingual offerings to include detailed travel information and navigation tips.
By 2025, Naver aims to further improve accessibility by enabling foreign users to book restaurants and performances directly through the app.
The initiative reflects Naver’s broader efforts to position itself as a travel essential for visitors exploring South Korea.
