SEOUL, Feb. 1 (Korea Bizwire) – Global streaming service Netflix sait Tuesday it had hosted a barrier-free screening of Korean director Yeon Sang-ho’s sci-fi thriller “Jung_E.”
Barrier-free refers to the effort to tear down physical and institutional barriers blocking seniors, people with disabilities, and other isolated groups from gaining equal access to rights.
Netflix held a screening of its original film at Lotte Cinema Konkuk University in eastern Seoul last Monday, providing audio narrations and subtitles for people with hearing disabilities.
The event was attended by people with visual and hearing disabilities, as well as teachers from special education institutions and non-disabled persons invited through social media.
