The festival’s inauguration will take place with an opening ceremony at the ICC on November 28. Subsequent screenings will feature Korean films such as “To My Unnie” and “Beyond This Place,” alongside the Indian film “The Awakening,” all focusing on women’s rights. A post-screening discussion with Korean filmmakers will follow these presentations.

On November 29, the festival will showcase the Korean film “The Moon” to celebrate India’s recent accomplishments in space exploration. The concluding day, November 30, will feature the screening of the Korean film “Little Forest” to mirror the burgeoning interest in Korean cuisine in India.

The Korean Cultural Center highlighted its meticulous film selection process, involving surveys among local enthusiasts of Korean culture to gauge their interests and align the festival with current events in India.

India, recognized as the second-largest film producer globally after the United States, often referred to as “Bollywood,” is a cinematic powerhouse, generating over 1,000 movies annually and selling more than 3 billion tickets each year.
