SEOUL, Sept. 6 (Korea Bizwire) — As an increasing number of companies are introducing contactless means of hiring new employees, a new trend is rising among job seekers preparing job applications.
An online forum for job seekers has recently been flooded with posts of various questions and tips on how to prepare for online interviews as the autumn hiring season is just around the corner.
“We are sharing tips on ‘where to look’ during video interviews, and how to decorate the background,” a 20-something jobless person said.
Some people have resorted to other means for preparation.
Another 20-something job seeker recently downloaded an artificial intelligence (AI)-based mock interview application. Opening the app and selecting a certain job returns potential questions.
Once the user responds to them as he/she would in a real interview, the AI program offers feedback based on the user’s facial expressions, voice, pronunciation and other factors.
“These are some of the alternatives we have been using since the coronavirus outbreak, which made it difficult for job seekers to gather in study groups,” a job seeker said.
