New Year Resolution Products: Nuts in a Cigarette Package

SEOUL, Jan. 13 (Korea Bizwire)Diet products and implements to help quit smoking are becoming popular at this time of new year’s resolutions.

According to Lotte Department Store, sales of said products increased during the period from January 2 to 9. Over this time, sales of sports products and running shoes increased by 24 percent and 16 percent respectively, while sales of health food products increased by 23 percent. Customers have been also buying more of home decorating products.

To meet customers’ needs in fulfilling their new year’s resolutions, Lotte Department Store is planning several events that might help people seeking to quit smoking or work out more.

The store launched a mixed nut product cased in what looks like a pack of cigarettes, as well as other health food products to help smokers who are trying to quit. Three varieties of ‘In Nuts’ packed in a cigarette box case will be a nice treat for anyone craving a smoke as they try to kick the habit. Lotte Department Store said that ‘In Nuts’ are exclusive to their stores.

The store is also holding a health food and dietary supplement fair. Great deals on health products can be found with sales or ‘buy one get one free’ promotions. Dietary supplements such as vitamins and coenzymes are selling for discounts between 10 and 50 percent. Red ginseng products are also on sale with discounts up to 25 percent.

At the Jamsil, Cheongnyangni, Daegu, and Gwangbok branches of the store, sports products including brands such as Nike, Adidas and K-Swiss are also on sale. Overall, 3 billion won worth of sports products will sell at discounts of 30 to 40 percent.
