Seoul, Korea, August 01 (Korea Bizwire) – NextBlue (www.nextblue.co.kr) announced on July 31 the release of its ‘Finger Pad’ that enables users to play simple mobile games without actually touching the screen. In the past, these types of games had a couple of problems. Visibility was limited because the player had to touch the screen, obstructing the screen, while the player’s fingers often slipped and touched unwanted areas causing the game to pause or even be turned off. The new ‘Finger Pad’ solves these problems.

The ‘Finger Pad’ is a game pad that is attached beneath the LED screen, and allows players to play the game without actually touching the screen. The ‘Finger Pad’ is only the size of a person’s fingers, making it easy to carry around. The ‘Finger Pad’ uses a gel-type adhesive that doesn’t leave residue on the phone, and still maintains its adhesiveness. Furthermore, users don’t have to worry about it breaking since it is not an electronic device.

Ji Song-hak, CEO of NextBlue said, “Though the ‘Finger Pad’ is not for all smartphone games on the market, there will continuously be simple games and apps such as the ‘Dragon Flight’ or ‘Wind Runner’ that can be played on the ‘Finger Pad.’ Our latest product will enable smartphone users of all ages to play these games on their phones more easily and comfortably.” NextBlue has applied for patents for the technology, trademark, and design, and will be expanding distribution through telecom retailers and phone accessory shops.
