SEOUL, Sept. 30 (Korea Bizwire) — NHN Corp., South Korea’s leading game and internet company, officially launched its fashion-specific artificial intelligence (AI) service AI Fashion on Wednesday.
The service was developed using image search technology after analyzing data from various online shopping platforms both in South Korea and abroad.
The highlight of the new service is its ‘camera search’ function, which allows users to search for products by image even if they don’t know the product or brand name, as well as the ‘similar product recommendation’ function that recommends similar products when the requested products are not in stock.
NHN said that it has improved the perfection of the product search and recommendation functions through trial runs at various shopping platforms, including FashionGo and Brandi.
The company plans to add more advanced AI functions, including a feature called Deep Tagging that realizes various product properties such as color, material and pattern through search filters.
