SEOUL, March 29 (Korea Bizwire) – North Korean TV stations have recently been airing war-related movies on a daily basis.
The North Korean central news agency aired a program called ‘Chosun Art Films – from 5 o’clock to 5 o’clock’ on March 28. The 78-minute movie that was produced in 1980 tells the story of the North Korean combined artillery forces and their actions during the Korean war.
Movies about the North Korean army and its activities during the Korean war were aired between March 24 and 27.
It is unusual for North Korean TV stations to air war movies every day, as they usually air one or two art films or documentaries.
Experts see this phenomenon as an attempt by North Korea to strengthen the solidarity of its system before the Labour Party’s annual conference, by raising hostility towards South Korea and the U.S.
Currently, North Korea is known to be mentioning the ‘pinpoint strike drills’ the South Korean army recently conducted, and is spreading propaganda slandering America and South Korean president Park Geun-hye.
