SEOUL, Dec.9 (Korea Bizwire) – A parody video of North Korea’s founding father Kim Il-sung, the late leader Kim Jong-il and current leader Kim Jong-un dancing is gaining popularity on YouTube.
The 25 second long video clip named ‘I got it from my ABAY (meaning ‘father’ in North Korean)’ had reached 171,013 views as of the morning of December 10.
The video was uploaded under an account named ‘Gogh’s Parody Workshop’.
The video, which was uploaded on December 4, is a parody of international entertainer Psy’s new hit song, ‘Daddy’. The faces of Kim Il-sung, Kim Jong-il and Kim Jong-un were photoshopped into the video.
In the video, Kim Il-sung is illustrated as a man in a white shirt with an orange muffler around his neck. The video starts with the man dancing in front of a yacht.
Kim Jong-il is wearing a blue suit with no tie, while Kim Jong-un is wearing a yellow hat commonly worn by kindergarten children. The setting seems to be mocking him being the leader at such a young age.
The three lie sideways in a room and move in a funny way. Behind them is a large frame with the letter ‘Kim(金)’ written in Chinese characters.
In the video, Kim Jong-il dances in front of an image showing a large North Korean event, and Kim Jong-un dances in front of a statue of him, wearing shorts.
The video also contains images of North Korean tanks passing by, and female soldiers. An image of American president Barack Obama giving a speech also makes an appearance.
Psy’s new song ‘Daddy’ entered the Billboard ‘Hot 100’ chart at 97th on December 19. It was released on December 8.
