BANGALORE, INDIA, Apr. 22 (Korea Bizwire) – Brocade (NASDAQ: BRCD) today announced that NxtGen Data Center & Cloud Services has become the latest IT service provider to adopt its New IP networking infrastructure solutions to increase business growth and innovation. NxtGen has raised multiple rounds of funding from Intel Capital, Axon Partners, and the International Finance Corporation (World Bank). The company has utilized this funding to establish three data centers in India, with plans to open several more in 2016 as it identifies new opportunities in the world’s fastest-growing major economy.

NxtGen is an early and innovative adopter of software networking that leverages New IP technology to transform its data center architecture and provide elastic infrastructure services on demand to its customers. This first-mover advantage has enabled NxtGen to reduce both CapEx and OpEx while delivering differentiated new services. In turn, its customers have enjoyed significant cost savings through pay-per-use services and additional capacity gained from existing infrastructure.

The new network infrastructure, comprising Brocade® vRouters and VDX® 6740T switches, will enable NxtGen to streamline enterprise cloud services fulfillment at its high-density data centers, which already boast strong price/performance credentials compared to major rivals, according to a benchmarking report from Cloud Spectator.

“Demand for cloud services in South Asia is growing rapidly, but to succeed in this market and stay ahead of the competition, it is essential to keep costs low so end-to-end data center automation is critical,” said A.S. Rajgopal — MD & CEO of NxtGen Data Center & Cloud Services Pte Ltd. “Brocade’s open, programmable architecture, strong commitment to network functions virtualization, and excellent integration with Microsoft Hyper-V made its New IP networking solution a compelling value proposition for us.”

The Brocade VDX 6740T switches deployed within NxtGen’s data centers support Brocade VCS® Fabric technology, enabling multiple switches to form a self-configuring, self-healing, and highly scalable Ethernet fabric that removes the need for additional network switching layers and efficiently delivers low-latency performance — ideal for cloud computing operations. These VCS fabrics are virtual machine-aware and support Automated Migration of Port Profiles (AMPP) within the Hyper-V environment, providing seamless integration with Microsoft’s server virtualization platform.

NxtGen is now also leveraging Hyper-V hosts, running on the same industry-standard hardware it uses for customer service delivery, to support virtualized network functions. Brocade vRouters leverage the Intel Data Plane Development Kit to achieve up to 10 Gpbs of throughput per processor core, helping to ensure fast performance on a virtualized platform.

“NxtGen has been remarkably successful in establishing itself as a significant cloud services player in South Asia, but this is still an emerging market with a lot of growth ahead of it,” said Edgar Dias, senior director for Brocade India. “Long-term success depends on reducing complexity and cost while leveraging software-driven innovation from Brocade. NxtGen has put itself in a prime position to do just that by deploying an open, flexible, and highly automated cloud networking solution, in line with the New IP framework.”

Looking ahead, NxtGen has set its sights on the global stage and has already established offices in Abu Dhabi and Singapore to help drive adoption of its public, private, and hybrid cloud infrastructure solutions that are hosted within its own data centers or managed on premises. The company recently made waves in the cloud services market with the launch of VCEverywhere, a pay-as-you-use video conferencing service aimed at businesses of all sizes.
