SUWON, May 13 (Korea Bizwire) — Korea’s largest marine leisure & sports expo, the Korea International Boat Show (KIBS) opens from May 28 to 31 at KINTEX in Goyang and the Ara Marina Convention Center in Gimpo, housing a record-high number of 1,310 booths from 243 companies, even though the participation fee for companies increased 18 percent compared to last year.
The expo, in its eighth year, will hold boat shows presenting 20 boats made by three Korean companies, 100 fishing boats, and a boat part exhibition featuring products from 20 companies.
Experience-based events like sailing of yachts, and launching of boats, kayaks, canoes and water bikes will be popular among family visitors, while a number of exhibitions designed around various themes like yachts, boats, non-powered boats, water sports, fishing and maritime safety will attract professionals.
