SEOUL, April 21 (Korea Bizwire)With overseas travel severely restricted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it could be difficult for “hallyu” (Korean Wave) fans in Brazil to satisfy their desire for traveling to South Korea.

The Korean Cultural Center in Brazil came up with a unique solution for such fans.

On Monday (local time), the center announced that it would re-launch a walking tour-type online travel service dubbed ‘Walk into Korea.’

This year marks the second year that the center offers such a service, which was extremely popular among hallyu fans in Brazil last year.

The center will air the Walk into Korea program through its YouTube channel at 7 p.m. every Wednesday and Thursday until June 16.

Last year’s program introduced five hot tourist sites in Korea, including the popular Hongdae neighborhood in Seoul. The number of real-time viewers exceeded 150 for each episode, exceeding expectations.

This year’s version will introduce 16 eye-catching tourist sites, including Han River Park in Yeouido and the Korean Folk Village in Yongin.

In addition, the Walk into Korea program will provide a voice guide to enable real-time interaction with viewers, as well as to improve their understanding of Korean tourist sites.
