PM Holds Meeting With Indonesian FM

SEOUL, Aug. 21 (Korea Bizwire)Prime Minister Kim Min-seok held a meeting with Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono on Thursday, during which they discussed ways to expand bilateral ties, officials said.

During the meeting, Kim told the Indonesian foreign minister that he is looking forward to a visit by Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto to the upcoming Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in South Korea.

In return, Sugiono expressed his commitment to cooperate for the successful hosting of the APEC summit, according to Kim’s office.

Kim also stressed the close ties between the two countries in areas of defense, energy and people-to-people exchanges and expressed hope that such a partnership will further expand across all fronts.

Calling South Korea a “very important partner” to Indonesia, Sugiono expressed hope that their cooperation further develops to the highest level.
