SEOUL, Nov. 25 (Korea Bizwire) — Lotte Department Store is attracting senior customers in their 50s and 60s with facilities for ‘pet plants’.
Lotte Department Store’s Mia Branch has opened the industry’s first pet plant hotel, which led to a 15 percent increase in sales between August and October among senior customers over 50 years of age.
In addition, 55 percent of senior customers using the plant hotel were found to have additionally purchased apparel and other high-end products at the department store.
The pet plant hotel, a facility equipped with a natural lighting system and staffed by plant specialists, offers free daycare service for plants.
