SEOUL, Dec.2 (Korea Bizwire) – Naver has announced the results of an analysis of the words that were searched for on its portal site as part of its ‘2015 Naver Search Word Settlement’.
The word that was searched the most on PC was ‘Youtube’, while ‘weather’ ranked first on mobile. The keyword ‘Daum’ ranked second on both platforms. New keywords that figured in the rankings were ‘Coupang’ (4th) and ‘exchange rate’ (10th) on PC, and ‘fine dust’ (8th) and ‘Coupang’ (10th) on mobile.
The keywords that had biggest increases in the number of searches were ‘MERS’ on PC and ‘fine dust’ on mobile.
Analyzed by month, ‘Kill me Heal me’ (January), ‘Oh My Ghost’ (July), ‘Yong-pal’ (August), ‘Shin Seoyugi’ (September) and ‘Answer 1988’ (November) were popular searches related to variety shows and TV dramas. Celebrity names such as ‘Son Ho-joon’ (February), ‘Yewon and Lee Tae-im’ (March) and ‘Jang Dong-min’ (April) also ranked No.1 on the search chart. MERS ranked No.1 in May.
‘Seoul-Hyun’ Ranked No.1 among searches on people. ‘MERS’ was the most popular keyword in the ‘current events’ category, ‘Infinite Challenge’ among variety shows, ‘Assassin’ among movies, and ‘The courage to be hated’ among books.
