INCHEON, Aug. 13 (Korea Bizwire)As the coronavirus pandemic continues to rage on, drive-in theaters are gaining popularity as moviegoers can enjoy a variety of films without having to leave their cars.

Tickets for drive-in theaters set up near Incheon Grand Park and Incheon Port are selling out earlier than expected.

From July 23 to 27, more than 1,200 customers reserved tickets, with tickets for 100 cars available for each screening. The reservations closed after just two days.

Tickers for another drive-in theater set up in June inside a temporary parking lot near Incheon Port’s Pier 8 have also sold out.

The port’s drive-in theater makes use of an old warehouse used to store grain during rainstorms, allowing drivers to enjoy films without having to worry about the weather.

The rather unusual way of watching a movie is attracting an increasing number of customers.
