GOYANG, South Korea, April 3 (Korea Bizwire) — Porsche Korea debuted the new 911 Carrera 4 GTS at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show on Wednesday, marking the domestic premiere of the automaker’s first mass-produced hybrid model in the iconic 911 lineup.
The new variant, a significant milestone since the 911’s original launch in 1963, introduces a lightweight, high-performance hybrid system dubbed the T-Hybrid. Featuring a 3.6-liter engine and a newly developed electric turbocharger, the model reaches a top speed of 312 kilometers per hour and accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just 3 seconds.
Porsche says the updated model offers improved aerodynamics and enhanced cooling systems to support the upgraded powertrain. Notably, it is also the first 911 to be equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster.
“The 911 has always been a leading-edge model that not only honors tradition but evolves with it,” said Matthias Busse, CEO of Porsche Korea.
Porsche is showcasing a 13-model lineup at this year’s show, including the newly updated 911 and the Macan Electric, the brand’s first electric SUV.
As part of its long-term strategy, Porsche Korea aims to double its service network and expand its EV charging infrastructure by 2030, reinforcing its commitment to electrification. In the first quarter of 2025, three out of every ten vehicles sold by Porsche Korea were electric models.
“Korea is a key pillar of Porsche’s growth and plays a critical role in shaping our future product roadmap,” Busse said. “This year, Porsche Korea will present one of its most compelling product portfolios ever, backed by bold investments in the local market.”
