SEOUL, July (Korea Bizwire) – POSCO Engineering & Construction is raising its brand image as a leader in energy plant construction by winning a project to build an oil terminal in the Bahamas. In addition, the Ventanas coal-fired power plant, which recently began operations in Chile’s Valparaíso Region, was the first power generation project that POSCO built in Latin America.
The company has also landed a deal to build an LNG-based combined cycle power plant in Peru. POSCO E&C expects to win more projects in the Americas while diversifying itself into new areas such as construction for renewable energy facilities.
