SEOUL, South Korea, Aug 23 (Korea Bizwire) –  How do you make sure your child gets home safe and sound when school is out? Should you pick her up every single day from the school gate to the safety of home? If the preschool operates buses, how do you know the school buses are safe enough? Can busy working moms and dads afford to wait a long time to take their children home till the school bus arrives? And some of them wait half an hour due to delays.

One Korean company, ‘ReachApp,’ has developed a service providing information such as arrival time and locations of school buses to parents by text messages and app notifications. Parents are given information on where the buses are and when they leave school, and pass through certain apartment gates. Parents can save time and effort and worry less about children’s whereabouts. With growing social concerns about crime against children, parents with elementary and middle schoolchildren are also using the app.

ReachApp has been so successful for the last two years that it recently launched a multilingual service that provides notifications in eight languages such as Chinese, Vietnamese, and English. ReachApp also let parents know about various preschool conditions such as lunch menus and class schedules on desktop computers and mobile phones. ReachApp is currently planning to expand its business as Korea is abundant with private tutoring schools that operate their own bus fleets for children. ReachApp’s alert service can be useful not just for preschoolers and their parents but also for hagwon- (afterschool-) going children as well.

ReachApp is currently recruiting resellers and more preschooler-centered institutions. For more information, visit the company website at www.reachapp.co.kr.
