SEOUL, Sept. 9 (Korea Bizwire) — The Queer Women’s Network, a women’s rights advocacy group for sexual minorities, hosted a women’s sexual minority athletic competition Sunday at KBS Sports World Hall 2 in Seoul.
The “Queer Women Games” were first held last year with the aim of creating a culture in which women and sexual minorities can participate in sports without any discrimination.
Regardless of gender, sexual orientation or age, any citizen who agrees with the purpose of the competition can participate.
This year’s competition brought together 170 athletes and 500 spectators for four sports – futsal, badminton, basketball and a relay race.
