BUSAN, May 13 (Korea Bizwire)LetsRun Park Busan–Gyeongnam, Busan’s largest racetrack and home to 1,100 race horses, introduced a new strategy to manage race horses in spring, when most horses need special training to overcome spring fever.

The horses run on running machines 10 times larger than the ones used by humans, which can be adjusted to train the horses with an appropriate amount of intensity without having to carry the jockeys on their backs.

Swimming is also a good exercise for horses to overcome spring fever, prevent fatigue, and reduce stress. It also helps the horses build strong muscles for racing.

Two rounds of swimming at a pool designed for horses is known to provide significant amount of training equivalent to a single horse race.

Swimming also strengthens a horse’s cardiorespiratory system, which is why it is preferred by many horse trainers.
