BUSAN, July 20 (Korea Bizwire)Racing models were nowhere to be seen at this year’s Busan International Motor Show, held for the first time in four years due to pandemic.

Hyundai Motor Group and BMW Group Korea, participating in the show, have been running their exhibition booths since July 15 without any female models.

Other than the two automobile exhibition agencies that brought female models last weekend, there haven’t been any racing models to be seen at the show. BMW brought a female model on press day, July 14, for a photo shoot.

Racing models were once the highlight of the motor show. However, they have raised a series of controversies over their revealing clothing and suggestive photo shoots.

“The era has simply ended for the motor show to recruit female models,” an industry official said.
