SEOUL, March 24 (Korea Bizwire) – You’ll soon be able to enjoy great music and literature with a nice view of Haeundae Beach as a new café laden with books and featuring local radio DJs is coming to one of South Korea’s most popular holiday destinations in early April, the Haeundae District Office announced yesterday.

Busan’s latest addition to the famous beach that draws more than 40 million visitors every year signals the revival of “Sea Café for reading,” a book café that opened last May.

The coffee and book establishment stayed open until Tropical Storm Chaba forced its closure in October.

Built out of natural disaster relief spending, the café comes with four glass walls through which visitors can take in an outstanding view of the beach.

On the ground floor is a book café boasting a wide collection of some one thousand books alongside a DJ booth from which an online live streaming service of the radio programs will take place.

Adorned with sun beds and parasols, visitors on the second floor can enjoy a nice view overlooking the beach.

The newly revamped radio and book café comes with a broadcasting system which local DJs will take advantage of to entertain visitors.

Every weekend from 4 to 5 p.m., comedians and entertainers from the Haeundae comedy troupe will take the mic and read stories and play songs requested by beachgoers.

“Haeundae’s radio book café will leave visitors with lasting memories. During the peak season in July and August, we will expand the radio programs,” the head of the Haeundae District Office said.
