“Rainbow” over the Philippines Sky

SEOUL, July 22 (Korea Bizwire) – K-pop girl group Rainbow entertained the troops dispatched to support the reconstruction work in the devastated areas hit by super Typhoon Haiyan November last year in the Philippines.

During a reality TV show “Real Man,” the members of the program commemorated the rebuilding of Naga-naga Elementary School in the spot together with the students and Filipino soldiers there.

After all the scheduled performances were finished, the host announced the one final stage would be performed. When Rainbow came out from a bulletproof vehicle, all the soldiers began cheering suddenly and their cheering even became louder with the girl group’s sexy performance.

Especially, Chun Jung-myung who had been served as a trainer for army recruits and seems not to make any reaction on the girl group even showed big smiles waiving his hands.

South Korea’s Araw Force contingent dispatched to rebuild Tacloban City reconstructed a total of 26 buildings including elementary schools, orphanages, hospitals and veterans’ houses and offered medical helps to 15,000 Filipinos by visiting remote villages.

Last year, the Philippine’s Defense Secretary Voltaire Gazmin visited the troops and offered the BakasParangal Award giving thanks to what the soldiers have done in helping victims and their reconstruction works.

Araw in Tagalog means sun and hope. How about watching the Rainbow’s passionate performance setting on fire in both Korea and the Philippines?
