SEOUL, Feb. 6 (Korea Bizwire) – The increase of single-person households has even led to the development of an automatic ramen cooker. Rinnai Korea announced on February 5 that it was releasing a new “Ramen Cook” gas oven with a built-in countdown timer.
The gas range provides an automatic notification when water boils, and sets off an alarm when the food is done, before automatically turning off the stove according to timer settings.
Rinnai’s high heating power technology was applied to the product to keep consistent high temperatures from the beginning to the end, and users can set the timer for 3, 4 or 5 minutes depending on the thickness of the instant noodles.
In addition, Rinnai’s proprietary technology allowed it to realize a heating efficiency of up to 55 percent, which can save 28,800 won in gas expenditures per year compared to a gas range with 50 percent heat efficiency that’s used for an average of 2 hours per day.
An official at Rinnai Korea said, “According to statistics, Korean adults eat at least one ramen a week. To cook instant ramen more deliciously and conveniently, we introduced this new product.”
