SEOUL, June 30 (Korea Bizwire) – KT Wiz rookie slugger Ahn Hyun-min and LG Twins outfielder Kim Hyun-soo were among the 26 reserves announced Monday for the annual Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) All-Star Game.
Each summer, representatives from the 10 KBO clubs are divided into the “Nanum” and “Dream” All-Star teams for an exhibition game. Players from the Hanwha Eagles, the LG Twins, the Kia Tigers, the NC Dinos and the Kiwoom Heroes will make up the Nanum squad. Those from the Samsung Lions, the Lotte Giants, the SSG Landers, the KT Wiz and the Doosan Bears will play for the Dream side.
This year’s All-Star Game will be July 12 at the Eagles’ brand new home stadium, Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark in Daejeon, some 140 kilometers south of Seoul. The 12 starters for each side, selected by fans and fellow players, were revealed last Monday in the following positions and roles: starting pitcher, middle reliever, closer, catcher, first baseman, second baseman, third baseman, shortstop, three outfield positions and designated hitter (DH).
Lee Bum-ho, manager of the defending champions Tigers, will be in charge of the Nanum All-Stars. Park Jin-man, whose Lions lost to the Tigers in the 2024 Korean Series, will manage the Dream All-Stars.
They each selected 13 reserves for their squad — seven pitchers, two catchers, two infielders and two outfielders each.

The Wiz did not have anyone in the starting lineup, with Ahn coming close in the DH category. He led all candidates in player voting but didn’t receive enough fan votes.
The 21-year-old leads all rookies with 13 home runs and 46 RBIs this season, and is batting a robust .333/.436/.618 in 51 games. Ahn’s on-base plus slugging of 1.054 would put him in the league lead if he had enough at-bats to qualify.
Ahn is one of two Wiz outfielders to be named reserves, joined by Bae Jung-dae.
The seven Dream reserve pitchers are: Lee Ho-sung of the Lions; Kim Taek-yeon and Choi Seung-yon of the Bears; Park Yeong-hyun and Woo Kyu-min of the Wiz; and Lee Ro-un and Jo Byeong-hyeon of the Landers.
The two Dream catchers are: Jang Sung-woo of the Wiz and Cho Hyeong-woo of the Landers. The team’s two infielders are: Oh Myeong-jin of the Bears and Kwon Dong-jin of the Wiz.
Kim Hyun-soo, 37, earned his record 16th All-Star selection, breaking a tie with Lions catcher Kang Min-ho, who made the starting lineup this year, and former Lions star Yang Joon-hyuk. Kim, a lifetime .313 hitter, is batting .300 this season, one of just six players with a .300 average in 2025.
The other Nanum outfielder is Moon Hyun-bin of the Eagles, who finished second in the DH spot in fan and player voting.
The seven Nanum reserve pitchers are: Adam Oller and Choi Ji-min of the Tigers; Kim Young-woo and Park Myung-geun of the Twins; Bae Jae-whan of the Dinos; and Ju Seung-woo and Ha Yeong-min of the Heroes.
The two Nanum backup catchers are: Kim Tae-gun of the Tigers and Kim Hyung-jun of the Dinos. The team’s two infielders are: Lee Do-yun of the Eagles and Kim Ju-won of the Dinos.
Among those voted onto the starting lineup, three players will miss the All-Star Game with injuries and were replaced Monday by runners-up in their respective positions in voting.
On the Nanum side, Tigers third baseman Kim Do-yeong was replaced by Heroes third baseman Song Sung-mun, while Eagles outfielder Estevan Florial gave ways to Heroes outfielder Lee Ju-hyoung.
For the Dream squad, Lions outfielder Kim Ji-chan will play in place of Giants outfielder Yoon Dong-hee.
The Lions will have the most representatives with seven players, followed by the Twins and the Wiz with six each.
