SEOUL, April 1 (Korea Bizwire) — To prevent the spread of COVID-19, an electronic ticket check system will be introduced at the major royal palaces in Seoul.
The Cultural Heritage Administration (CHA) will test run an electronic ticket check system at Changdeok Palace and Deoksu Palace from Wednesday, in which visitors and employees will not need to enter into unnecessary contact.
When a visitor scans the bar code and QR code printed on the ticket on the scanner, an employee will check the results through a computer.
Previously, employees manually checked tickets and returned them to visitors.
“The electronic check is contact-free, so it can create a safe viewing environment, and it will permit visitors to enter more quickly,” a CHA official said.
