SEOUL, April 5 (Korea Bizwire) — The Rural Development Administration said Monday it will begin a pilot project to disseminate agricultural tech for low-carbon cultivation of crops at 10 locations across the country this year.
The project comes as a part of the 2050 National Carbon Neutrality Scenario announced by the government last October.
The pilot project will take place at cultivation complexes, cooperative units, research groups and agricultural corporations where the administration can implement the carbon reduction technology.
The cultivation sites will be implemented with various technologies involving irrigation management, biochars and the production of farm crops in rice paddies.
