BUSAN, June 22 (Korea Bizwire)Busan’s Haeundae and Songjeong Beach, opening in July, will introduce new policies to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Haeundae Beach will cut down the number of parasols from 4,200 last year to 1,800 to ensure that a two-meter distance is maintained between each parasol. Songjeong also plans to cut down from 1,050 parasols last year to 450.

Each parasol will be numbered to track visitors.

Visitors will be required to use a smart beach payment system to rent a parasol, enabling authorities to efficiently carry out an epidemiological investigation if infections occur, while protecting the privacy of visitors via the authorization number system.

Ventilation windows will be installed on top of all shower booths at Haeundae Beach as part of the quarantine policy.
